A 40-year-old man is cooperating with police after a bomb scare in a Christchurch street this afternoon.
Police were called after a bomb threat at Placemakers in Cranford Street, in the suburb of St Albans, about 1pm.
The store was evacuated and Cranford Street was closed between Mcfaddens Road and Fraser Street while police searched the area.
No bomb was found and Cranford Street reopened by 3.45pm.
Police were speaking with the man and their investigation was ongoing, Detective Sergeant Sarah Illingworth said.
