A Mongrel Mob gang prospect convicted of murdering a man outside outside a central Hawke's Bay pub has been jailed for a minimum of 11-1/2 years.
Hulio Ataria, 23, was found guilty of the murder of Mark McCutcheon last month.
In the High Court at Napier today Ataria was sentenced to life in prison with a non-parole period of 11-1/2 years.
Ataria stabbed Mr McCutcheon three times, in a car park across the road from the Ongaonga pub, after a dispute between Mr McCutcheon and a patched gang member seen hitting a woman in a car in January last year.
