A column in the Police News magazine has taken a swipe at a former top police officer who allegedly used his standing to have a checkpoint manager ticked off for causing him to be slightly delayed on his way to a sports game.
The March issue magazine's View from the Bottom column, written by Constable "Iam Keen", said the "ex-VIP" was stopped recently at a checkpoint and delayed only briefly because there was no breath-test, but the incident still caused the ex-officer to "get his knickers in a twist".
