A girl who set fire to herself while sniffing petrol in Auckland remains seriously ill in Middlemore Hospital.
Police said the girl had been sniffing petrol on Friday night when it ignited and the flames spread to her body. She was dragged to a nearby pond by a friend, where the fire was extinguished.
