Lilla Hadlee, the mother of famous New Zealand cricketer Sir Richard Hadlee, has died in Christchurch, aged 92.
Mrs Hadlee met her husband, Walter, on a ship to England in 1937, when he was with the New Zealand cricket team.
They married three years later and had five sons, three of whom - Richard, Barry and Dayle - played cricket for New Zealand.
