Newstalk ZB is laying off staff in four of its offices around the country.
NZPA understands one person has been chopped from the radio broadcaster's office in the press gallery at Parliament, along with one Wellington reporter, one Auckland reporter and five staff from the Christchurch office.
Included in the Christchurch layoffs are morning presenter Ali Jones and her producer, a sports show news reader, a news reader and a journalist.
Staff at the offices were told today of the redundancies.
Nobody from Newstalk ZB was available for comment today.
