A person has been killed in a two-car crash on the West Coast.
The accident happened around 4pm on State Highway 6 near Needle Point, south of Charleston, which is 27km south of Westport.
Initial reports indicated there were five people involved in the crash, Inspector Rick Jury of southern police communications said.
One had died while two others were reported injured.
Emergency services and police from Westport are at the scene.
