A fire at a Bay of Plenty High School is believed to have been deliberately lit.
Police and fire service were called to Te Puke High School about 4am today.
Senior Sergeant Lance Gardiner said the fire was suspicious.
Six fire units were still at the scene at 5.30am.
One building at school was totally engulfed in flames and another was being threatened by the same fire, fire northern communications shift manager May Barbara told NZPA.
