The police officer struck by a speeding V8 Ford during a pursuit that ended in Auckland's Waitemata Harbour last week has been discharged from hospital. The 23-year-old is expected to return to work in the next week.
The constable was admitted to hospital after being struck by the vehicle as he laid road spikes on Esmonde Rd in Takapuna in an attempt to stop it.
