The police commissioner is taking a good look at domestic violence following the annual Australasian Police Commissioners conference.
It was the first conference for Howard Broad since taking up the role earlier this year.
He said commissioners have considered how to respond appropriately to domestic violence and how to include the relevant agencies.
Mr Broad said getting things completely right when dealing with domestic violence is difficult, so it is important to keep abreast with what other countries are doing.
