A storeroom at Waikato Hospital was sealed off this morning after a hazardous chemical was found leaking through some walls and ceilings.
Waikato Hospital spokeswoman Karen Bennett said a staff member found fluid leaking from the roof in the physiotherapy department.
No services were disrupted and no-one was affected by the leak, she said.
A spokeswoman for Auckland Fire Service said emergency services received a call-out about 8.15am today after a hazardous substance was found leaking through part of the walls and ceiling in the building.
"It was identified as film developer."
Fire services were on the scene for about two hours cleaning the chemicals, she said.
