We may not be able to get the better of our neighbours at cricket, but New Zealand has nudged Australia out of the top spot in a travelling wish-list in Britain.
Readers of travel agency magazine Trailfinders, has voted New Zealand the number one destination they would most like to travel to.
Australia is second, while Peru and the Maldives round out the top four. More than 15,000 people took part in the survey.
Tourism New Zealand CEO George Hickton says the great thing about the award is that it is future-looking.
"Rather than an award for a place people have been, travellers are saying "this is a destination of the future - we want to visit it.'"
He says the survey was also carried out upmarket, independent travellers, who are the sorts of people Tourism New Zealand is targeting.
New Zealand was also voted top in the "Favourite Island" category and third in "Favourite Country" by people who have visited previously.
