A man charged with murder following a stabbing in Auckland in September has been committed to stand trial.
The 30-year-old from Mt Eden was charged after the death of John Patrick Chambers on September 12. Mr Chambers, 23, was found lying on a bloodied floor in Eden Park Lodge, a Mt Eden boarding house in Onslow Rd.
Also remanded to the same date was a 33-year-old woman who is on bail after being charged with being an accessory after the fact for allegedly helping the man accused of murder to avoid arrest.
