A woman who died after she was badly burned in a Christchurch house fire last week has been named.
She was 38-year-old Kara Sibley, police said. Ms Sibley's death has now been referred to the Coroner.
Ms Sibley was critically injured during the house blaze in Aldwins Rd, Linwood, last Tuesday.
On Wednesday she was transferred to a specialist burns unit at Middlemore Hospital in Auckland.

However, she passed away on Monday.
Another woman in her 20s was also at home at the time of the blaze. She was also hospitalised but was later discharged.
Police said they were not treating Ms Sibley's death as suspicious.
