Waipu golfer Kylie Jacoby proved too strong for the rest of the field at the Golf Northland Champion of Champions.

Playing the Northland Golf Course for the first time, Jacoby shot rounds of 74 and 75 to win the silver champion title and lead the Waipu team to take out the Iris Farrell Rosebowl with Hannah Carrington and Margaret Pennington.

A highlight of the day came when Pennington had a hole-in-one on the 16th hole adding four points for the team.

Jacoby was full of praise for the way the Northland course was presented for the championship event and complimented the greens staff on the quality and presentation of the course.

Runnerup in the silver division was Jodi Macalister (Northern Wairoa), a former top junior who has recently returned to the game and produced rounds of 85 and 77.

In the bronze division Vicki Wright (Ngunguru) proved too strong and took out the 36-hole gross by seven shots from second-place getter Robyn Te Whata (Pines).

Roz Fitzpatrick made the most of the championships being held on her home course to take out the senior title from Ann Hathaway (Bay of Islands).

Runnerup in the Iris Farrell Rosebowl was Wellsford, with Whangaroa third.
