Waipu continued their dominance in the Northland golf croquet interclub challenge with a convincing win over Kerikeri.
Kerikeri were expected to be a tough challenge for the front runners, but Waipu won in a canter 18-6.
Kerikeri started well with Kevin Hall beating Des Heath 10 - 9 but it was all downhill from then on.
Sue McLeod winning her singles and the crossover doubles with Rilla Jeffs was as good as it got for them as Waipu romped home.
Rod Christiansen was the standout for Waipu, winning all his four games. Jean Kent also had a good day out, winning three games. Gordon Walker contributed with two wins, including the defeat of the more experienced Chris Lancaster.
Waipu are looking like a runaway train and Doubtless Bay appear to be the only side capable of derailing their championship chances.
Kaitaia and Whangarei's game was postponed and Doubtless Bay's ground was closed. Their game with Kensington will also be rescheduled.
