Swimming New Zealand has named a 35-strong Tokyo 2020 squad with a 14/21 female/male split.
Membership of the Tokyo 2020 Squad will give McIntosh access to full high performance support - including sports medicine, sports science and career development services - at the AUT Millennium Centre on Auckland's North Shore,
The Educare Northland Sports Talent Hub member and current Northland Swimmer of the Year has also tasted success at two recent national championships, winning two gold medals at the NZ Age Group Champs in Wellington in the 400m and 800m freestyle and a silver medal in the 800m freestyle at the Australian Age Group Champs in Adelaide.
