Two Whangarei teams have progressed to the next round of football's premier national knock out competition - the Chatham Cup - with home wins over the weekend.
Kamo have gone into the hat for the first round draw of the Chatham Cup after star striker Keegan Baddeley netted a hattrick in the side's 5-1 hammering of Zamantix in the cup preliminary round on Monday.
Baddeley proved too much of a handful in the Anzac Day clash at Kamo and could have scored several more.
As it was he had to settle for three while Kyle Mack scored a brace. Luke Adams scored the goal for Zamantix.
Central Brown are also into the draw for the next round after a 4-2 extra time win over Auckland Volcanoes at Otaika Sports Ground on Saturday.
The "Canoes" went 1-0 up and Central Brown equalised through a deflected free kick to Scott Tierney before the Whangarei side won in extra time thanks to a quick-fire hat-trick to Jake Mabbett.
Kerikeri couldn't make it into the next round going down 5-1 to Auckland side Lynn-Avon United while Warkworth also went out losing 6-2 to University of Auckland. The first round of the Chatham Cup - when many of the more fancied teams will be included - will be contested over the weekend of May 14-15.
