Main advert:

The Ngāti Hine Forestry Trust is a large and rapidly expanding Māori land trust located in the inland Bay of Islands. The Trust continues to diversify its interests for both commercial and social reasons.
As the Tumu Whakarae, you will provide strategic leadership and direction to strengthen and enhance the Trusts core business, particularly in forestry. You will also be transforming the business from a passive to active management regime via the growth and diversification of the business portfolio.
You will lead transformative change, embrace risk and ensure the sustainability of the business.

Prerequisites for application are to include;

•The proven ability and relevant qualifications as a General Manager or CEO equivalent level in a role requiring high level strategy, management, judgement, communication and relationship management skills.
•Prior skills in strategic and financial planning, the production of annual budgets forecasting and risk analysis.
•The ability to provide oversight of day to day operational management, planning, reporting, financial and staff management.
•The efficient management of budgets, work programmes and contracts.
•A solid track record in exceeding contract deliverables.
•Demonstrated leadership experience with change management.
•The prior demonstration of establishing, maintaining and enhancing key strategic partnerships.
An awareness of the needs and aspirations of Te Tai Tokerau communities and confidence with Te Reo me ōna tikanga Māori would be an advantage.
