Then in the Best YOLO (you only live once) section she named the Hokianga.
''After filming the Air New Zealand video in the Bay of Islands, Hunter watched the final product and became enamoured by a segment shot on the famous sand dunes of nearby Hokianga,'' the article says.
''So, during a trip home last January she seized the moment and booked a flight to the West Coast town [sic].''
Hunter said: "I felt like I'd missed out. I had to go and see these sand dunes. Seeing those dunes took my breath away. It was amazing sitting there and talking to the iwi [tribe], seeing [sacred Kauri tree] Tane Mahuta and hearing the history of the people of Hokianga after watching that video."
Of course, any good yolo moment comes with a side of danger and Hunter's experience did veer towards terrifying at one point: "The one crazy thing was that I decided to go and look at the sand caves by myself and these seagulls were nesting and fully attacked me," she said.
"I had to throw myself around a big bird and it was crazy. So don't go during nesting season!"
No doubt, though, Hunter will be back in the Northland again.
