Vacancy 069/2014, Kaupapa Maori Advanced Nurse Practitioner
This exciting role requires advanced clinical nurse expertise to develop, provide and lead high quality, effective nursing practice in a specialty area as part of the Community Nursing Team for Hauora Whanui services.

The key components of this role include:
•Providing advanced clinical nurse expertise in order to enhance patient treatment and care planning in the primary care setting within the scope of Whanau Ora.
• Act as a clinical nurse consultant, educator, be active in health research, and contribute to the development of nursing models of care, policy and service development.
• To provide advanced level nursing care delivering autonomous nurse-led clinics.
• Support the Community Nursing Team to ensure there is a fully coordinated and integrated approach with as wide range of health services and providers.
• Contribute to the improvement of Maori health gain by reducing health inequalities between Maori and non-Maori for the population served by the Ngati Hine Health Trust.

Vacancy 070/2014 Clinical Nurse Manager, Nursing Services - Kawakawa/Whangarei
We require a Clinical Nurse Manager to lead a well-established team to deliver community and general practice nursing, health education, which assists whanau (families) to be self-managing and live healthier lifestyles. This is a full time position reporting directly to the General Manager Hauora Whanui.

The ideal appointee will have extensive clinical experience in either the primary health care nursing setting and/or secondary services, as well as experience in leading high performing teams. It is essential that applicants are NZ registered, General, Obstetrics or a Comprehensive Nurse with a current practising certificate.

Vacancy 071/2014, Nurse Educator - Kawakawa/Whangarei
Do you have a passion for advancing rural nursing practice by supporting the professional development aspirations of nursing and healthcare workers through a strong education focus with a research base? Would you like to continue developing your own clinical nursing practice? If you have extensive clinical experience, hold a postgraduate qualification and/or a certificate in adult teaching and learning, we would love to hear from you. We are looking for a Registered Nurse to join our team in this full-time position to take on the nurse educator responsibilities role and a small clinical caseload.

Reporting to the Clinical Nurse Manager, as the successful candidate you will oversee and assist in the ongoing education of nursing and healthcare staff. Your excellent interpersonal skills and your ability to adjust to a variety of adult learning styles will be imperative to this role. You will be self-directed with excellent time management and organisation skills and be familiar with change management principles and process. Your accessible and supportive nature will find you acting as a resource for both new and existing staff and be an asset to our team.
