It was a disappointing weekend for Northland intercentre representatives teams when they took on Auckland, Counties-Manukau and North Harbour in the open and development divisions and against Auckland, Waikato, North Harbour in the one to five year division in Auckland.
The bright light was the Northland men's development team who finished second to Auckland, with the one- to five-year women also finishing second in their division.
With the NZ Intercentre competition only a week away, the open squads, who used the event as trials, have some work to do to achieve the results that they did last year.
Open men and women finished fourth with North Harbour winning both events.
In the one to five division, the overall winners were North Harbour (men) and Auckland (women). The development division was won by Auckland in both the men and women.
