Around 20 art pieces created by celebrities and local artists are being auctioned on Trade Me to raise funds for future arts programmes at Glenbervie School.

Contributing artists include Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, Sir Michael Hill and local potter Greg Barron.

The school's 230 students all created a 2D and a 3D piece which are on display at the school alongside the celebrity pieces. The students will get to keep their own works at the end of the exhibition.

People can view all the art at Glenbervie School from 2.30pm to 6pm tomorrow . Trade Me auctions close tomorrow evening.

The official opening was held on Monday and Northern Advocate photographer Michael Cunningham went along.
