Police are investigating after a woman was pulled to the ground and robbed in Whangarei.
Police said the woman was in the Forum North car park in Rust Avenue about 1.30am on Saturday when a female, who was with another female and a male, grabbed her hair and threw her to the ground.
The group then grabbed the woman's purse and ran off. Police said they are investigating the incident.

Doubtless Bay Business and Professional Women is offering an 21-day Outward Bound scholarship for a woman aged 18 to 25, from the Kaeo or Doubtless Bay area.

Language workshop
A workshop for language teachers in New Zealand will be in Whangarei next week.
National Language Advisers and Teacher Development Advisers will be delivering one-day curriculum support roadshows that focus on best practice for teaching and learning languages in Aotearoa.
Teachers have had input into the content in each location resulting in a variety of workshops from 'E-learning - 21st century skills in the language classroom' to 'Differentiation in the language classroom' and 'Using songs in the junior languages classroom'. The workshop will be held at Whangarei's Cheviot Park Motor Lodge from 9am to 3pm on Monday, August 21.
