Argentinian high school St George's School North stopped in at Kamo High School to battle on the sports field as part of their trip to New Zealand.
The Buenos Aires natives faced off with Kamo High in rugby and hockey.
The hockey contest pitted both school's under-16 girls while the rugby featured the under-16 boys' sides.
On the LJ Hooker Turf the home side proved far too much to handle, defeating the travellers 6-0 in a tough effort.
Kamo High, coached by Courtney Phillips, showed their talents on the turf as they linked well through the midfield.
The goals were shared between the Kamo outfit as Chloe Buckton (two), Livia Patu, Sarah Pilcher, Mikaela Price and Kyra Bushett all netted.
Back at Kamo High, an intense yet good-spirited clash featured brilliant running rugby mixed with some big hits.
Kamo winger Ridge Devine proved almost impossible to stop on the right flank as he constantly beat opposition defenders with consummate ease.
Devine picked up a brace of tries while his fellow winger Reuben Nicholl was always in the thick of the action.
They were well marshalled by Max Turner out in the backline.
But the Argentinian school didn't go down without a fight, showing a lot of talent.
Centre Tobias Suarez ran the ball well along with prop Pedro Garoby, while No8 Pedro Mastroizzi was a handful on both attack and defence.
In the end Kamo took out a high-scoring affair 39-36 but as the old saying goes, rugby was the winner on the day.
This was St George's North's second stop on their two-week tour after kicking it off at Trident High School in Whakatane.
They now head to Kristin College before finishing off at Westlake Girls' High School.
