Awarding winning satirist, television identity and documentary maker, writer, stage and screen director, Te Radar will be on the microphone in charge of proceedings at this year's Whangarei A&P Show.
As "Chief announcer at the Show" - which is at Barge Park on December 3 - Te Radar will call on his experience from his career.
His TV shows include Off The Radar and Radar's Patch, which won the 2010 Qantas Film and Television Award for Best Information/Lifestyle Programme.
Te Radar will also share the happenings at the show live with visitors over the loud speaker.
Although a self-declared "failed gardener" and recently trading his lifestyle block for the traditional Kiwi quarter acre, Te Radar said he's looking forward to the Summer Show and the mix of urban and rural activities that A&P shows throughout New Zealand bring together.
"I love an A&P show. The people, the produce, the animals, all make for a great day out. There's never a shortage of people to chat to about all manner of things, so if people want a chat then by all means they should say Hi. And then there's the food - a summer highlight for sure," he said.
Te Radar is adding Whangarei's One Epic Show Day to his long list of exotic travelling experiences.
In the past he's visited beekeepers in Cuba, a potato park in Peru, where he sampled the national dish of guinea pig, eaten "local bird" in Vanuatu on his documentary tour of the Pacific, nearly drowned in the Australian desert, and didn't do well in his quest to be a war correspondent when every place he visited had peace break out.
- The Whangarei A&P Show is on December 3 from 9.30am, to 6pm. Visit www.whangareishow.co.nz for more info.
