The Northland FC under-13 team finished their season with a resounding 3-1 win against Onehunga at Tikipunga on Sunday.
The win saw them finish fourth overall in the Auckland Conference League.
Things didn't start well for Northland, with the visitors getting off to strong start which saw them dominating the first 10 minutes of play and scoring a well-deserved goal.
Northland rallied and came back with a brilliant goal from striker Reuben Jones. Winger Todd Jack followed this up with a beautifully curved shot from a free kick just outside the box which found the back of the net.
Another goal from Northland's Logan King midway through the second half cemented the win for the boys in blue.
Coach Chris West said the team had done very well for their first season playing in the Auckland division.
"This is the first year the boys have played together as a team and I'm extremely proud of them," he said.
The team, made up of the most talented footballers in their age group from around Northland, meet twice weekly for training in Kerikeri and Whangarei and travelled to Auckland fortnightly for away games.
