A police cordon has just been removed near Kamo after safety fears were raised over a man with suspected mental health problems, who had access to firearms.
No-one was hurt in the incident today which was attended by members of the armed offenders squad.
The alarm was raised at about 2pm and the man gave himself up at 3.25pm. Police said that at no time were there concerns for anyone's safety but the man himself.
Road blocks at access points into the area had stranded school students returning home on buses.
