New Zealand Cricket made a net operating surplus of nearly $2.6 million last season, before more than $4 million was handed out in standard grants and distributions.
NZC chairman Sir John Anderson described the final result, a deficit of $1,740,971, as "satisfactory."
Grants to the six major associations totalled $4,339,489, an increase of $1,183,103 on the previous year.
They included an additional $900,000 towards increasing the Shell Trophy competition to two full rounds.
Sir John said: "NZC is in a sound financial position, with significant revenues in the next two years confirmed from tours to New Zealand by England this coming season, India in 2002-03, and the World Cup in South Africa in February 2003."
NZC's annual report was released yesterday, and the 107th annual meeting is in Christchurch on September 14.
