On the buses
Stagecoach has started a weekday bus route 920 from Sylvan Ave, Northcote, to the city. The service departs Sylvan Ave at 8 am and 8.30 am and continues from Victoria St to Auckland University via Bowen Ave and Symonds St. In another change, the new 625 route Remuera Rider now starts running from 7.50 am. This will provide a 625 Remuera Rider every 10 minutes from Glen Innes to Downtown from 6.40 am to 8.10 am on weekdays.
Organic exports
The annual meeting of the Organic Products Exporters Group, in the Trade NZ boardroom, 11th floor, PricewaterhouseCoopers Tower, 27-29 Albert St, will be open to the public from 2.30 pm to 4 pm. Speakers include Kay Shapland of MAF, Dr Hugh Campbell of Otago University, and organic specialist Paul Vaughan. For details visit the Organics New Zealand website.
Charity movie
Tickets for the charity movie premiere of Crooked Earth at the Hoyts Queen St cinema complex are available from the Starship children's hospital and Screentime Communicado for $55. The movie stars Lawrence Makoare (above, left) and Temuera Morrison, and the event starts at 7.15 pm on Wednesday. Proceeds will go to the Starship's neurological surgery unit.

The Tourism Association's annual conference and awards gala will be held in the Rotorua Convention Centre today and tomorrow.

The Auckland Film Society is showing Werner Herzog's Cobra Verde (1987) at the Rialto Cinema, Newmarket, at 6.30 pm. One reviewer described it as "the National Geographic on acid." For information about screenings visit the Auckland Film Society website.

It is the last week of the 1951 Waterfront Exhibition, which marks the 50th anniversary of the infamous industrial conflict. Venue: The old broadcasting studios at the top of Shortland St.
