Netball great Laura Langman said she was undecided on whether she would ever make a Silver Ferns comeback.
After more than 10 years playing for the Ferns, Langman signed a contract to play for the Sunshine Coast Lightening team in Australia last year.
But the 33-year-old terminated her Lightening contract in November, after deciding to take a much-needed break from the game.
April's Commonwealth Games will now be the first time Langman hasn't lined up in a major international event since her debut in 2005.

Langman hasn't worn the black dress since October 2016 and the 141-test veteran doesn't plan to re-join the elite ranks for 2018.
But with her Silver Ferns future hanging in the balance, Langman said she was proud of what she had achieved if her time with the team was over.
"I had a fantastic journey in the Ferns and whether I get back or not, I'll always have really fond memories," she told Stuff at a Netfit coaching session on Saturday.
"I'm happy with where I'm at and I feel like I ended on a massive high having started my career with Noels [Taurua] and finishing it on a high with her in 2017. I've got no complaints."

A Netball World Cup remains the lone milestone Langman is yet to tick off, and with the 2019 World Cup on the horizon, Langman could potentially link with a New Zealand franchise next year.
However, Langman, who has won two Commonwealth golds, said she wasn't "driven" by medals or titles.
"To be fair, I'm not really driven by having the medals on the mantelpiece ... No one can see into the future, so you never know," she said.
"I'm not saying no, I'm not saying yes [to playing elite netball again], I'm just going to enjoy 2018 for the adventures that it will be."
"2018 is an opportunity for me to ground some time in at work because unfortunately you can't live in the fairytale forever."

The Silver Ferns have had a disappointing start to their season after a poor performance in the recent Northern Netball Quad Series.
But despite the Ferns struggles, Langman reminded that the Kiwi team had a long history of delivering when it counted.
"I've been in enough campaigns to know it's anyone's game on the day. You just have to beat anyone once and that's more than doable."
"I think they could provide a lot of upsets. I think they're in a nice position not having too much pressure. They just need to go out and play."
