Air New Zealand yesterday denied a report that it was jostling for a stake in Bangladesh's national airline, Biman Bangladesh.
The Agence France-Presse report said airline officials had named Singapore Airlines, Air NZ, Qatar Airways and Gulf Air as companies that had submitted proposals to become strategic partners in Government-owned Biman.
Air NZ spokesman Alastair Carthew rubbished the claims, saying he thought the report writer had randomly picked Asia-Pacific airlines.
Citibank NA values Biman's assets at $NZ243.13 million.
