He's an Academy Award winner and familiar face in Hollywood but Casey Affleck's annual income is more modest than you might think.
Affleck, who won this year's Best Actor Oscar for his role in the 2016 drama Manchester By The Sea, has had his salary laid bare in court as he finalises his divorce from estranged wife Summer Phoenix, reports News.com.au.
According to court documents obtained by People magazine, Affleck earns $584,000 (AU $533,000) a year.
The relatively low income, compared to that of his Hollywood cohorts, could be explained by Affleck's penchant for smaller, indie films.
Phoenix, an actor and model who is sister to Affleck's close friend Joaquin Phoenix, earns about $35,000 (AU $32,000) a year, according to the court documents.
The former couple share two children, Indiana, 13 and Atticus, 9.
Affleck will pay his ex-wife $5300 (AU $5800) per month in child support and for their children's private school tuition for the next two years, according to People.
He will not be paying spousal support.
Affleck and Phoenix filed for divorce in August after nearly 10 years of marriage and 16 years together.
Affleck was widely celebrated for his role in the critically acclaimed Manchester By The Sea but has also been dogged by accusations he sexually assaulted two women on a movie set in 2010, which Affleck denies.
