BMW New Zealand will be involved with horsepower of a different kind when Auckland Cup Week starts on Saturday.
The company has partnered with Auckland Racing Club at Ellerslie for the Auckland Cup Week.
The partnership extends across two prominent horse-racing weekends, Derby Day on February 28 and Diamond Day on March 7.
"BMW New Zealand is delighted to announce this new partnership with Auckland Racing Club, as it is one of a number of exciting initiatives we are engaging with in the sporting arena," said the company's managing director, Nina Englert.
"One of the key feature races is the BMW Mr Tiz sprint, which is the perfect race to align the brand with as it represents acceleration and precision, two key attributes people know and love about our vehicles."
• Driven has two double passes for the BMW Diamond Marquee on March 7. Each ticket is worth $796 and the marquee is sold out.
The ticket includes a reserved seat in the BMW Diamond Marquee with views of the home straight and winning post, a glass of champagne on arrival, a tapas-style menu, a beverage package, racecourse admission, racebook and pen.
