Notable for eschewing the Broadway musical soppiness of recent Disney animated features, this soundtrack gives Collins a platform for his often-maligned talents for pop penmanship.
Of course, because it's Collins, there are drums, for (ahem) Africa on the likes of the main theme song Two Worlds and he goesa little Womad in the melody of You'll Be In My Heart to give it that dark continent atmosphere.
However, those main tunes are toe-tappers.
The goofy percussive work-out of Trashin' the Camp will have the kids smiling long after they've seen the flick and Mark Macina's orchestral score is suitably chest-beating.
