We were pretty bummed when Meghan Markle, then star of hit show Suits, abruptly cancelled her Instagram account in early 2018.

Gone were the #inspo travel shots featuring close friends like stylist Jessica Mulroney, the foodie posts - basically anything that gave us a real glimpse into her private life.

Just over a year later, the Duchess of Sussex and her husband Prince Harry have — in a small way - filled the gaping social media hole she once left behind by starting their own official Instagram account, @sussexroyal.

Within just six hours of its launch earlier this month, the glamorous royal couple's account had hit one million followers - an Instagram record. Less than a fortnight later, that figure is now more than 4.6 million.

The page already features plenty of photos of Harry and Meghan's work with charities - and there's a huge clue in the most recent upload about who's really running the account.

Alongside a photo of Meghan and Harry applauding is a caption thanking their fans for "supporting various organisations around the world in lieu of sending gifts for the upcoming arrival of their first born".

It then details the impact of the support - including the range of 5,000 products which have been distributed among children in need, including "cribs" and "diapers".

Both words are American terms - in the UK (and Australia) cribs are generally called cots and diapers are nappies.

The post could have been written by Meghan's American head of communications Sara Latham, but many believe it sounds just like the LA-born and charity-loving duchess, despite referring to her in the third person.

People were also delighted to see the expectant parents reference their baby using the term coined by royal fans.

"On behalf of The Duke and Duchess (and Baby Sussex), we thank you so much," the caption said.

Harry and Meghan's baby's exact due date remains a mystery - although it's long been expected to be around mid-April, meaning the little royal could be along any day now.
