As their little ones fly the nest for the start of university many parents will be finding their own ways to say goodbye.
And in a sweet gesture one well-meaning mother, from the UK, decided to bake her son a cake to wish him luck, however it appeared to say something much ruder than she intended, the Daily Mail reports.
The hilarious blunder was shared on the SubReddit Casual UK by a friend of the woman under the username u/Yellow-SP.
The photo shows a sponge cake iced with the message "Good luck @UNI", however, due to the placement of the letters many have pointed out it looks more like "Good luck c***".
Captioning the image, which was shared on Wednesday, the Redditor wrote: "A friend made a cake for her son last week."
The unfortunate mistake left Redditors in stitches amassing hundreds of comments from tickled users, who were quick to share witty responses.
One wrote: "Delighted to see the little s*** finally leave after eighteen long years."
Replying another added: "Bake him a cake. Give him a slap on the back. Then kick that c*** off to uni."
"Absolute gold- when you head says 'Good Luck @ Uni', but your heart says 'Get the f*** out of my house'" wrote another.
Meanwhile another suggested she had intentionally written the message that way adding: "She knew what she was doing".
