Gowns galore were on display at a Wedding Dress Extravaganza in Whanganui on Friday.
Collector Anna Durning is offering modern bridal and bridesmaid gowns for sale or rent and the extravaganza was one of the closing events for the 2018 Winter Wonderfest.
"I mostly collect Victorian wedding dresses but I have this selection of modern dresses for sale or rent," said Durning.
"The bridesmaid dresses are also ideal for school balls and there is a great selection of styles and sizes that can be remodelled for a brand new look."
Simmi Choudhary married a few months ago but, as a professional dressmaker, she was interested to see the gowns.
"I have been sewing since I was 6 or 7 and I'm always looking at dresses to see how they are made and how they can be remodelled," she said.
People wishing to purchase gowns or view Durning's Victorian collection can contact her on 027 232 3361.
The Winter Wonderfest women's festival wraps up this weekend with the Nourish Your Soul Wellbeing Expo at Whanganui Girls College Hall on Saturday and a butter and yoghurt-making workshop at Space Studio and Gallery on Sunday.
