The Hits host Sarah Gandy revealed on air yesterday that her husband Luke had a confession for her … he was being hit on by a girl who worked at their local bakery.
But Sarah's reaction was not what you might expect.
Rather than getting jealous, she celebrated with her man that he still "had it" and said she was actually a little proud that he was obviously still good looking enough to attract attention.
"I'm just stoked that I've got a husband who's about to hit 40 and that he's got this chick that's hitting on him that clearly thinks he's a sexy older man ... I'm happy for him — and for me," Sarah said.
But is this the normal way to respond when your partner reveals they're getting flirty vibes from someone?
"If someone is hitting on your husband, how do you feel about it?" Sarah asked her co-host Laura McGoldrick, who is married to New Zealand cricketer Martin Guptill.
"Quick high five and we move forward I suppose," said Laura, adding: "well, it's a nice little thing."
Co-host Sam Wallace said he wouldn't tell his other half if he was being hit on by someone else, but also admitted he'd be cool if the tables were turned and someone was flirting with his partner.
"I think I'd be happy for her," he said. "You know, we're ageing now ..."
Callers chimed in, with some saying they thought it was great when their significant other got hit on, while others admitted they were fuming when it happened to their spouse.
