One month after The Sunday Telegraph launched an investigation into breast implants causing cancer, Seven's Sunday Night has followed suit with their case study being Pete Evans' wife Nicola Robinson, formerly Nicky Watson.
Nicola Robinson, who underwent surgery last year to remove her breast implants after suffering from 'breast implant illness', has spoken out in a bid to raise awareness of the condition and the dangers of implants.
"Gosh, when I do think of how they used to look, the word ridiculous comes to mind," Robinson told the program, which will air tonight.
"I didn't actually like them. I didn't like how they felt, I didn't like how they looked, they just weren't me. And obviously I know 100 per cent too that they were making me sick and essentially ageing me, so it just made perfect sense to me that they had to go."
Since having them removed in May last year, the former model said her mind is clearer, and her body healthier.
"So the implants themselves weren't ruptured at all, but my surgeon agreed to get the scar tissue that he removed tested for silicone and sure enough it was riddled with it," she explained.
"Which proved that even though the implants hadn't ruptured at all, the silicon was still leeching into my body."
