She's certainly no stranger to gracing magazine covers, but Oprah Winfrey's star turn on British Vogue has been turning heads for all the right reasons.
The striking cover image featuring Winfrey in custom Stella McCartney and Buccellati diamond and emerald earrings, has been praised online as "inspiring" and "regal".
In the accompanying interview, Winfrey talks candidly about that rumoured run for presidency and why it's simply never going to happen.
"In that political structure—all the non-truths, the bullshit, the crap, the nastiness, the backhanded backroom stuff that goes on—I feel like I could not exist," she said. "I would not be able to do it. It's not a clean business. It would kill me," she told Vogue.
Winfrey also spoke out about the #MeToo movement and shifting the paradigm for women.
"People talk about 'these are such dark times,' but what if we shift the paradigm? Because I see it differently," she shared. "I see, 'Isn't this remarkable that we're waking up?' For years, women have endured craziness. This is what's happening to people. They're allowing themselves to not just become corroded, but to become hysterical. You've got to lean to the happiness."
The Queen of television also spoke about her own royal encounter, where she nearly committed a serious fashion faux pas at the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
When she saw her Stella McCartney gown the day before the wedding she was horrified that it looked far more white, then the cream colour she originally planned to wear.
"I Googled, 'Can you wear white to a wedding?' Answer: 'No, don't risk it,'" she told the magazine.
So the night before the wedding, McCartney's team rushed to create the gorgeous pink ensemble Oprah ended up wearing for the monumental occasion.
