Rapper and Twitter "philosopher" Kanye West has revealed for the first time the interior of his $100 million family home, finally complete after almost half a decade spent on renovations.
While he vowed never to let cameras see his Hidden Hills home in California, purchased from Lisa Maree Presley in 2014, West has posted images to Twitter of the all-cream interiors including a shot of the family dining table and a series of moody hallways.
The hallway images include captions about "the sunken place", a reference to the horror film "Get Out".
According to exclusive reports from The Sun, the project - intended to be another of 40-year-old West's masterpieces - was rushed ahead so the Kardashian Wests could move in in time for the arrival of the couple's third child, Chicago, in January.
One follower responded by telling West it looked like he lived in a home made of papier-mâché.
And as the retweets and comments amassed, West's wife and Keeping Up With The Kardashian's star Kim Kardashian West, weighed in on her husband's decision to share pictures of the inside of their home.
The 37-year-old tweeted: "Ummm babe. We had a rule to not show our home on social media! Soooo can we now allow KUWTK filming in the home?"
Kardashian West is referring to the rapper's 2013 decision not to be seen in any future KUWTK episodes.
He explained to the New York Times: "You know, the amount of backlash I got from it is when I decided to not be on the show anymore.
"And it's not that I have an issue with the show; I just have an issue with the amount of backlash that I get. Because I just see like, an amazing person that I'm in love with that I want to help."
His comments coincided with reports from radaronline that West had been advised against appearing on the show because it made him "look cheap".
