Australian model and TV presenter Megan Gale has revealed that she went to great lengths in order to get pregnant with her second child, including taking a three week conception vacation.
The 41-year-old admitted to Show and Tell that after six months of trying to conceive she took a break to focus of conceiving and that is when she fell pregnant.
Gale welcomed her first child River in 2014 with AFL star Shaun Hampson, and blamed the couples busy lifestyles for her not getting pregnant sooner the second time around.
"We got to the six months (and) I was like, 'Right, that's it, I'm taking three weeks off, I'm chilling out,"' she told Show and Tell.
"It took us so long because there was so many things, like Shaun was either injured or I was travelling and it sort of didn't line up."
"As soon as we just sort of slowed everything down and stopped, it happened."
With trying to make sure their timing was perfect, Gale admitted that it was hard to keep things romantic in the bedroom.
"As much as you head into it thinking, 'We're going to keep it sexy and we're going to keep it romantic', you can't help going, 'Am I ovulating? What's going on? Is it in the window? Did we miss the window?'"
Megan's baby news came after a heart breaking miscarriage the couple went through in May last year.
She explained that every stage of her pregnancy has been more worrying and difficult because of that.
"This time it's been, 'Is it growing enough?' Before every scan it was, 'Is the heartbeat going to be there? Am I going to get that bad news again?'"
Megan announced her baby news on her Instagram page, captioning an image of a bun in an oven with "Well would you look at that. There's a bun in my oven. Not quite ready to take it out just yet. Should be fully baked come Spring time."
