As far as romantic text messages go, this clingy note falls well short of the mark.
After they parted ways to go to university, one paranoid boyfriend started bombarding his partner with controlling messages, and a photo of one of the texts has been doing the rounds online.
In the over-the-top note, which originally appeared on Imgur, the man starts by saying "No boys. No drinking. No boys. No drinking. No boys. No drinking", before going on to outline what a "tremendously good person" he is.
Things take an even darker turn when he demands, "when I text you, you are to answer."
While little is known about the couple, believed to be from the US, it's clear from the message that he is paranoid his girlfriend may cheat on him at a party.
"The party is not and will not ever be more important than me," the man, known as Hot Stud Muffin' to his girlfriend, says.
"You better know what you are doing. Please don't do anything to ruin us. I know you won't but a reminder never hurt."
In a Jekyll and Hyde twist, he tries to end with a bright and breezy "have fun, I love you bunches," before turning back into control mode.
"I don't know why I allow this but whatever, go. And you're calling me tonight and I'm getting every detail."
We're guessing that relationship is headed for trouble.
