The man who shocked his wife with a surprise pregnancy announcement as he filmed a YouTube vlog, has been revealed as a paying subscriber to Ashley Madison adultery website, reports the Daily Mail.
The Daily Mail online reported that Sam Rader, who is one half of Christian vlogging couple Sam & Nia, allegedly made payments to the website in September 2013.
According to the Daily Mail, Rader reportedly made two payments of US$189 and four payments of US$14 to the website during 2013, alongside personal details that included the vlogger's name, home address and an email address.
The screenshots - alleged to have been uncovered following the Ashley Madison website hack - were posted on Twitter and on forum 4chan. The 4chan website has previously been the source of a number of controversial posts including the recent "Project Harpoon" Facebook page that fat-shamed plus sized women.
In a video posted to the YouTuber's channel this afternoon Rader confirmed the allegations against him.
"I did make the account. I made the account two years ago.
"This is an issue that is in our past, this was before I got on to YouTube."
"I've sought forgiveness to God and he has forgiven me."
"I need to be clear that I've never met with a single person face-to-face through that website and I never had an affair with anybody, ever, while I've been married with Nia."
The Daily Mail said they had tried to reach the vlogger directly for comment but communication attempts went unanswered.
"Because this is in our past ... we won't be saying any more of this matter. I won't be talking to any media outlets. The only place you'll hear of this out of our mouth is here."
Sam and his wife Nia have been making videos on YouTube since 2006 but Sam's pregnancy announcement video went viral sending the pair's subscribers and views up overnight. Only two days later the couple released a heartbreaking video detailing the loss of the baby after Nia suffered an alleged miscarriage.
