Tall, short or funky, there’s a pair to fit every need.
One of the best things about winter is choosing a pair of boots to complete an outfit, so I have selected a few of my favourites for you. I have divided my choices into Tall, Short and Funky. There are so many bold trends this season but in a nutshell think riding influences, leather treatments from lizard embossing to ageing effects, suede finishes, and trims galore.
The knee-high or over-the-knee is one of the must-have silhouettes this season and I've got options covering all bases including the phenomenal Fifo boot from Stuart Weitzman, Witchery's soft suede Iris and a timeless classic with a twist - Overland's Naomi.
Blue features heavily and Nude's Molecules is a perfect example. Topshop has the ultimate option to cover the boho and 70s trends with its Desert Fringed boot. There are a couple of classics from Mi Piaci, Jeremiah in a chocolate and Jordan with its sweeping side zip.
You can't beat the functionality of a short boot, whether below or above the ankle. I may have squealed with delight when I first saw the cracked gold of Miista of London's Anais, and you can't go wrong with Sol Sana's three-buckled Bobby in a bold blue leather. Nude's Kinski has that slouch feel in suede and Senso's Zephyr II is bold and unapologetic in leopard print with a heel that takes no prisoners.
If you're looking for a boot that is all business, look no further than Overland's Lively. Finally there's the Leisa from McQ by Alexander McQueen, a simple white platform with razor blade trim.
And because I live in trainers I've selected some street chic kicks to introduce to you.
First up is from the Rita Ora colab with adidas; the O-Ray Honey 2.0 with its spray-paint X-ray effect is already on my to-buy list. Chaos & Harmony's Bo comes in variety of finishes but it's all about the cracked croc embossing of the stone colourway. Kathryn Wilson's hi top Imogene features pale pink florals and gold studs, and Beau Coops' Jogha with its flatworm sole and leather cutouts is a thing of beauty.
Since the beginning of winter I have been rocking moochi's Hi Top, which works fabulously for tucking in trousers or with a dress or skirt. And I've fallen in love with Palladium Boots all over again this year. The leather is perfect for the winter elements.
Check out The Line Up for some Wide Brim Style because adding a gorgeous hat is like adding a cherry to a sundae. First up is Topshop's feminine Snake Chain Floppy Hat, then a classic from Witchery - Stud Trim Fedora, followed by moochi's simply gorgeous Tipped Hat and finally WORLD's Lemon Squeezer for the ultimate headwear.
