A mum has shared the unexpected letter she received from her "neighbour" after putting up her annual Christmas lights.
The NSW woman decorates her home every year with an assortment of lights and festive figurines, revealing this year she decided to go even bigger for her three kids, aged 6, 5 and 3.
Shortly after the display was all lit up, she revealed she found a note in her letterbox from a "neighbour" a few kilometres away.
"We put lights out every year but this year I went to a little more effort," she wrote in the Bunnings Mum Facebook group.
"Having Christmas lights out and driving around looking at everyone else's brings the kids and I so much joy."
She accompanied her post with a photo of her lights and a letter from her local Bunnings, which is presumably where she buys the supplies for her festive display.
"Thank you for brightening our area with your amazing Christmas lights," the letter read.
"Your display has brought great joy to many of our Team Members so we would like to say thank you and present you with a voucher.
"We all hope you have a very merry Christmas and a happy New Year."
The note was signed off from the "team at Bunnings Glendale" and came with a $10 gift card.
Unsurprisingly, the kind act has captured the hearts of many Australians, who have said it was such a "lovely thing to do".
"Aww how lovely of them. Good ole' Bunnings," one said.
"That's lovely of Bunnings to acknowledge your effort," another wrote.
"What a thoughtful and smart initiative," someone else agreed.
There were many who described the gesture a "heartwarming" and "moving", while some thanked the woman for her "wonderful" lights, stating they looked "fantastic".
That's not the only nice thing Bunnings has been doing lately for its shoppers.
A video has gone viral showing a staff member assisting a single woman to find love.
A woman – who goes by the username @ash_lee013 on TikTok – shared a video of the worker alerting customers (aka any prospective singles) that she was on the market and looking for a man during her recent hardware shop.
"If there are any single guys out there, come to aisle 20. There's a beautiful young lady here just waiting to meet you in aisle 20," the male employee announced.
You could be starting a whole new romance here at Bunnings."
A smiling Ash could be seen covering her mouth with excitement as it didn't take long for another single to join her Bunnings quest for a partner.
"So we have a beautiful guy called Sid and a beautiful girl, two singles in aisle 19, come and meet them they look like beautiful people," the employee announced.
The video has been viewed more than 160,000 times, causing people to say it is proof that "Bunnings is the new Tinder".
