Starstruck Sting
Sting really is a tree hugger. As the musician and environmental activist unveiled his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame - the 2168th - he recalled his first visit to Los Angeles, in 1978.
"We pulled in late in a bus and got on to Sunset Boulevard and I said, 'Stop the bus right now.' So they stopped the bus and I got out and ran and hugged a palm tree. I'd never seen one."
His Hollywood Boulevard star was timed to coincide with the release of the animated Disney comedy The Emperor's New Groove, which features new Sting songs.
