Levin Intermediate has once again made the final of the Resene Wall Worthy Competition.
The competition gives local schools, early childhood centres and youth groups the chance to tell their local history, celebrate a local celebrity or communicate a nature or conservation theme on a wall in their community.
Winning submissions will receive a $750 Resene paint voucher, drop cloth and high-vis vests as well as $500 for murals completed by the end of Term 1, 2021.
Voting closes on April 9 and the final 10 winners will be announced on April 16.
Levin Intermediate's entry is called KIWIANA. This what they had to say about it:
This mural concept was created by a Y8 student who recognises that the Kiwiana concept and icons are apart of our community.
Levin has many market gardens in the area so fruit and vegetables can be seen on the mural. Many students can associate with visiting the diary before or after school to get what they need or for treats.
Kiwiana is a concept we would like to celebrate in a mural to brighten up our school.
