I’m getting logged out of the Herald website

The NZ Herald website and app are built to automatically keep users logged in after they have signed in with a valid account.

Users may be logged out of the NZ Herald account on web or app for a number of reasons, including: The user has reached the maximum number of logins across multiple devices or browsers

The user’s browser is set to automatically clear their browser history and cookies. Some browsers, such as Safari for Mac and iPhone, have default settings which means a user will be logged out every 7 days.

In a small number of cases NZME may release a system update that requires to log back into their account to access the benefits of the change. In these cases, this will be communicated to users electronically at the time.
